About Zachary Sheena

His Story

Zachary Sheena is a senior graduating early from the University of Michigan and a dedicated speaker, advocate, and financial professional. By the age of 20, he earned his SIE, Series 66, and Series 7 licenses. Following a devastating crash caused by a wrong-way impaired driver that took the lives of two of his friends, Zachary was propelled to step forward into public advocacy—using the horror he survived to advance sobriety awareness, support victims, and drive systemic change.

Today, Zachary speaks to large audiences, sharing his story of survival and recovery to help save lives and empower victims of road violence. He is the author of Shedding the Light, which chronicles his journey through healing and resilience, and is the creator and CEO of the Z-Survivor Fund, a charitable organization dedicated to assisting crash survivors facing the heavy burden of medical expenses.

Originally from New York—where he plans to return after completing his degree—Zachary balances finishing his studies in Michigan with his authorial work, advancing his financial career, and leading the fund.
